Sintering work to eliminate identified thermoelectric material performance issues has been concluded on the n-type with some success. However, the ideal target performance has not been achieved and further activity on thermoelectric ink formulation is underway. Advances on the n-type are now being applied to the p-type material. The aerospace system design has been modelled for system sensitivity and optimum design, and the design fixed.
The automotive application design is similar. The required metallisation pattern has also been established and metallised substrates are currently being manufactured. The electronics hardware has been defined but subject to possible final changes at the end of the project. Electronics development work has continued to focus on software development for both aerospace and automotive applications.
